Hi friends,
I am finally back from Greece, where I had been for the last six weeks! Being away from my blog for that long a time was rather unusual for me, but this was a much-needed break that I could spend with my family and friends in Greece. I cannot wait to share my new recipes and food photography with everyone, and I would like to welcome all the new people who have subscribed to my blog over the last couple of months!
Those of you who follow me on Instagram (@marilenaleavitt), have most probably seen some of the photos I have been sharing during my time in Greece. Several of you encouraged me to create a post and share a few of them here on the blog as well. So, here are some photos from my time in Athens and on the islands of Skiathos, Milos, and Serifos.

You must come to Ikaria! They are very hospitable there. From the seashore to the mountains and forests, each place has its own beauty.

Such beautiful photos and so sad we can’t travel from Australia. Is the covid all gone there?
I can only imagine how sad you were not being able to visit this summer…..
As far as Covid, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to witness all the strict measures all around Greece, in an effort to contain the spread of the virus. People are masked everywhere indoors and testing is readily available around the clock……I felt very safe, the whole time! Even to get on the plane for my return, besides showing the vaccination record, I also had to show a negative antigen test!
SO enjoyed these stunning photographs, Marilena. Please, will you take all of us WITH you on your next trip to Greece? 🙂
