- Couples Cooking – The Back Roads of Italy: Saturday, 01 October 2016 @ 7 pm
Food is the gateway to understanding the culture of a country and this especially holds true for Italy. Grab a friend or a date and come explore this country’s great culinary diversity as we prepare a rustic, satisfying, and authentic Italian meal.
Menu: Asiago Cheese Straws; Rustic Pasta Pomarola; Parmesan Chicken Milanese Topped with Lemony Arugula; Chocolate Crostata with Mascarpone Whipped Cream
- Great Pizza at Home: Friday, 14 October 2016 @ 7 pm
Friday night is pizza night! In this class we will learn how to make the perfect pizza dough, how to shape and stretch it, and, an easy technique for transferring the pizzas to and from the oven. We will make three delicious Italian pizzas.
Menu: Pizza Bianca with Garlic-Infused Olive Oil and Coarse Sea Salt; Classic Pizza Margherita with Fresh Mozzarella, Basil and an Uncooked Fresh Tomato Sauce; Mushroom, Caramelized Onion and Pancetta Pizza
- Couples Cooking – Greek Island Cooking: Friday, 21 October 2016 @ 7 pm
We are all familiar with the Blue Zones around the world – areas where people enjoy longevity and healthy lives. A distinct version of the Mediterranean diet is followed on the Blue Zone island of Ikaria, a small, relatively isolated island in Greece. Natives of Ikaria follow one of the healthiest diets and lifestyle regimens in the world and their food, methods of preparation, and culture have been examined extensively in an effort to reveal the secrets of their longevity. In this class we will discuss these findings and will enjoy dishes typical of Greek Island cooking.

- Couples Cooking – Homemade Pasta Workshop: Saturday, 19 November 2016 @ 7 pm
Grab a friend or a date and come join Chef Marilena in this fun class where we will learn the craft of making fresh, handmade pasta. We will engage in the techniques of dough preparation, kneading, resting, rolling, shaping, and drying for storage. We will also experiment with pasta shapes and then talk about pairing different pasta shapes with different sauces.
